The modern 35,000 sq. m Acute Mental Health Unit is situated on the Sligo University Hospital Campus. It is located on an elevated site near the main hospital, this facility is part single-storey and part 2 storey, with a link connecting the 2 buildings. McMenamin Engineering supplied and fitted the structural steel and roof purlins for this project. This building was commended in the RIAI Wellbeing Category and it also shortlisted for a European Healthcare Awards 2022 in the Mental Health Design category.
