Donegal Primary Care Centre Now Complete

Work on the multi-million euro Primary Care Centre in Donegal Town is complete and ready for the new tenants to move in.

Project Overview

McMenamin Engineering was delighted to supply the structural steel and cladding for this extensive development, working alongside main contractor Glebe Builders. Construction commenced in 2019, and the building now stands ready to serve the local community.

The project featured the construction of a 4 storey Primary Care Centre. McMenamin Engineering supplied and erected the structural steel, purlins, roof cladding and side cladding. This project has a Kingspan TopDek Roof Panel and Architectural MM Panel on some sides.

A Modern Healthcare Facility

This purpose-designed Primary Care Centre represents a significant advancement in healthcare delivery for the region. The driving force behind the development of PCCs is the desire to support the implementation of new models of care and the delivery of services in high quality modern facilities. PCCs can support the delivery of integrated care by facilitating closer coordination and cooperation between health professionals from across different disciplines. They also provide a single point of access to services for the individual and can serve as a resource more broadly for the community, creating a focal point for local health initiatives or providing community groups with a place to meet.

As a key component of healthcare reform, this centre will play a vital role in delivering integrated, accessible health services to the people of Donegal.

McMenamin Engineering is proud to have contributed our structural steel and cladding expertise to this important community infrastructure project.
