McMenamin Engineering were delighted to receive a Runner Up award in the Recreation and Education category at the Irish Steel Awards 2024, hosted annually by Irish Steel (Ireland’s Association of Metal Fabricators & Manufacturers). The awards celebrate excellence in engineering, fabrication, and craftsmanship across Ireland.
Our recognition comes for work on the Killybegs Harbour Amenity Building, a project that demanded precision, creativity, and teamwork at every stage. This unique build featured complex design elements, including diverse structures, varying roof slopes, and double bevel cuts on steel profiles. To achieve the highest standard, our team placed particular focus on detailed fabrication drawings, accurate preparation, and flawless site execution.
The project posed challenges across multiple disciplines—detailing, material preparation, fabrication, and erection—but each member of the McMenamin Engineering team rose to the occasion. Their dedication ensured a seamless fit and superior finish, a testament to the skill and craftsmanship that define our work.
We are delighted to have achieved this recognition in our first year entering the awards, and proud to see the efforts of our team honoured on a national stage.
